We are delighted to be able to offer a dozen prints from a little-known book called Clanlands that was written and illustrated by William Stewart (born Greenwich 1886) in 1928 for the London Midland & Scottish Railway Company (LMSR).
Stewart's choice of clan subjects corresponds with  some of the routes routes operated by the LMSR and his idiosyncratic paintings offer a delightfully fresh approach to the subject bearing in mind the rather 'stuffy' establishment  view of Highland dress in the 1920s.
